Hello Readers! It feels like an age since I last did this, although without checking it's probably been a week. I think the long (hot!) weekend has frazzled my mind. Let us see how the the good people of Plusnet towers are coping... James?
[excitement]wwwwwwwwwooooooooooooooooeeeeeeeeyyyyyyyyy[/excitement] It's another (eventually) sunny day in Sheffield and we're feeling forumtastic (well, I am at least). Chris and Bob have been sending out various service status messages and looking after change controls from a Networks perspective. Matt and Mand have been doing similar from a Development side of the coin, whilst Mand has also been writing some documentation. I've been sitting in our forums catching up with PMs and Forum threads from the long weekend. Did I mention it's a 4 day week? See you on day 2 of 4! James Commic
Obviously that was from the Comms Team. The spellchecker doesn't like forumtastic at all but never mind, thanks James! How about you Mark?
Hi, and welcome to another Prov EoD by me again Back in work after the bank holiday (and we've been confused all day thinking it's Monday!) and it's sunny today in Sheffield. Much better than the weather recently. We've been a bit short staffed today, with 2 people off ill so the rest of the team have been rushed off our feet trying to catch up with all the bank holiday work! Hayleigh has working in the house moves pool, as well as the migrations pool. She is still shaking from all the coffee!!! Alice has been working in the XML pool and the housemoves pool with Hayleigh. She is craving a chinese tonight for her tea, after we have been talking about it all day Malik has been working the provisioning orders pool and the migrations pool. He is still studying hard for his driving theory test. I've been working the provisiong orders pool and the delayed order pool. I am also craving chinese for my tea. Crispy shredded beef... mmmmm Songs of choice for this week are: Bulletproof by La Roux and Bonkers by Dizzee Rascal (again) Anyway, signing off now. Thanks for reading!
So far so good, let me try a different Mark to make sure
Greetings and salutations from Web Dev. Well gosh! Great Bank Holiday, with actual sunshine. Though we're all back in the office now, getting on with the important job of making our website ever better. Fixing problems and adding cool new features. Let's see what the troops have been up to. Gary: Wireframing. Its sort of how web designers sketch out new web pages. We don't do colouring in until everyone's happy that the pages are easy to use. James: I've been getting my code reviewed and tested. *sigh* Jonny: I've spent the day in ‘meeting hell’. *gains some strength by eating a handful of granola style cereal, straight from the bag*. Me (Mark): I've been dealing with a pile of website problems, until the next big exciting project gets started. Nick: I've been bugfixing, dealing with problems, the usual stuff. Andy: Today, I've been updating hardware inserts for TR69, a spot of problem solving and writing some stuff for our partners. Kelly: I've been trying to get my head around ports and power connections for the desk move! Oh, and I cut my finger so I need other people to help me get around the buildings finger print scanners! Jonathan has been asking us all to help him reduced the number of open problems. Of course we'll help! Dan was working from home today, so I wasn't able to ask him what he's been doing. He's almost certainly working on his internal tools Colin is locked in the library, which is actually a room full of empty shelves. We've agreed to release him from his prison when he's filled all the shelves with his highly prized knowledge. Thankya all
Thank you Mark! That's yer lot for today, thanks for reading... I didn't mention it once!
