It shouldn't matter - is this a Full Fibre - FTTP - or an FTTC INSTALL?

OK - that is Full Fibre. Is this a new build, or an already in use property? - the ONT needs to be powered on for the service to activate.

@jab1 that was my first thought John, but looking again I don't think it is. There now seems to be two SoGEA products Fibre 38? and Fibre 74, one being provisioned on 40/10 and the other on 80/20 . So I thinks its actually the latter... but I might be wrong...

I wish PN - and others - would name their offerings so they made sense, but I suppose that is asking too much?
I thought SoGEA was provisioned on 80/20?

So did I (and many others!) originally but I've seen posts to the contrary and that where the BTw estimates are 40 or below then it will be provisioned on 40/10

My SOGEA (FTTC) was called Fibre74 and was provisioned at presumably 80/20 as it runs at 62/12.

If I look at a range of plusnet competitors (Zen, BT, EE, Shell, TT) for my address they all offer me a product based on either Fibre 38 or Fibre 74
Only plusnet offer me Fibre, but as I am on Unlimited Fibre Extra why would I downgrade?

So what do they call their FTTP offerings?
I was only making the point about 'Fibre' services for my address as FTTP is not offered I won't be wasting my time looking 😉

I could be wrong but my interpretation is that Plusnet only sell one FTTC product, namely Fibre. However, there are two Openreach products that Plusnet use, 40/10 and 80/20. If the estimated line speed will only support the lower speed range then the customer is put on the 40/10 product.

Cheers, @Mustrum . I take it from that then, that the OP is actually on FTTc, but as they haven't come back to confirm it, I will assume they are - in which case, the Hub can be activated any time.
