Property not showing as having fibre available when it is

Trying to place an order for fibre broadband in our holiday home but it has disappeared as an option on both Plusnet and BT. The property currently has fibre with Talk Talk and all other providers such as Sky, Vodafone and Shell all show it as available, as do Openreach on their checker. So why are Plusnet and BT no longer offering it when it was showing a couple weeks ago?

@Simoni67   why not post the results when you fill in your phone number, or address if phone number is not available of the BTW DSL Checker - it should show what the problem is.

Re: Property not showing as having fibre available when it is

Has the property got full fibre (FTTP) or fibre to the cabinet (FTTC)?

If the latter and the area is on FTTP priority, it will no longer be possible to order the service you have presently.  These are strategies BT Openreach are using to drive uses off the local copper networks.

Superusers are not staff, but they do have a direct line of communication into the business in order to raise issues, concerns and feedback from the community.

Can't seem to add screenshots on here but it's showing a VDSL high of 46.6 and low of 32.5.

When replying to add a screen shot you click on the rectangle icon above the text box that looks like it's got a mountain in it.

@Simoni67 That means that Fibre (to the cabinet) is technically available BUT your cabinet is currently full.

Re: Property not showing as having fibre available when it is

Ah ok, does the fact that we already have fibre service help i.e. can it just be transferred?  Its weird that the other suppliers show it as available when they use the same Openreach infrastructure

Re: Property not showing as having fibre available when it is

Fix

So no FTTP and the FTTC cabinet is full.

There is a perverseness in BTOR's availability system - if you are connected and the cabinet is full and you want to switch suppliers ... then availability will report as NOT AVAILABLE because there are no spare line cards.  The fact that you want to migrate the existing connection does not compute in BTOR's systems.

You are probably going to need to call sales and explain the situation.  Also sometimes you can get better deals by phoning up than just signing up on line.

@Simoni67

No, you can't transfer - at least not with PN. They can't take an order until FTTC is available.

Given the cabinet's full what does OR say for the address - www.openreach.com

Re: Property not showing as having fibre available when it is

Could similar occur if the current connection is ADSL and the migration would also be a migration/upgrade to VDSL (given the 'stop-sells')?
