This https://forum.opnsense.org/index.php?topic=36926.0 would suggest that spec may struggle ...
Might be ok if you don't use any QoS ?

Depends on your requirements above and beyond basic routing ?
I use a Tplink ER605 flashed with Openwrt. The Ubiquity ER-X is similar and easier to flash. . Both are based around the mt7621 chip set , which with hardware offloading enabled will handle my 900Mb connection. They are pretty basic hardware , gigabit wan and 4 LAN ports. However with h/w offload disabled ( to allow QoS ) they will max out at around 500Mb
Ideally for a 900Mb connection you need something with at least a 1.6ghz quad core processor to run one of the generic router softwares i.e Openwrt, Opnsense , PFsense

Attached is my basic home Network i will see how it behaves.
I think the router would be the only weak point

That's a lot of kit for a home network, I can see why you want a 900Mb connection😁
TBH I'd be inclined to give your existing router a try and see how it performs. If it can't cope , then use the Hub 2 (with wifi disabled?) either on a temporary basis whilst you research a better router, or permanently. The hub 2 will certainly handle the 900Mb throughput.
In my case I use the ER605 with Openwrt (instead of the Hub 2) primarily due to its ability to host a direct VPN connection to my office. It also has a USB port to which I can connect my phone as a 5g backup in case of FTTP failure.
Both the ER605 and the ER-X (no USB) I mentioned can be picked up for around £50. If you wanted to future proof with something that could better handle more throughput then the TPlink ER707 https://www.tp-link.com/uk/business-networking/vpn-router/er707-m2/ might be worth a look BUT its around £200!
